"A Taste Of The North" is a collection of wild and tame recipes, including appetizers, main courses, breads, soups, desserts and much more. Our guests at Northern Lights Lodge rave about our meals and appetizers. The only complaint I ever hear is about how much weight they gain in the week they are with us! I often get asked for my recipes, and that is why I decided to write this cookbook. Northern Lights Lodge is located in northwest Manitoba, Canada. My husband John and myself, along with our sons Mike and Curt own and operate the lodge. We are a fly-in lodge, which means that we are accessible by floatplane only. With town being 44 miles away by air, most of the recipes in this book use ingredients that are common in most households and are fairly quick and easy to make.
