Our lakes have a diversified structure of bays and islands, boulder strewn drop offs, weed beds, crystal clear depths to 240 feet, and a series of rapids and waterfalls.

The fresh waters and healthy environment provide a natural habitat for an abundance of trophy Lake Trout, Northern, and Walleye which have been caught each year. Our lakes lay in somewhat hilly country with a lot of high banks, making for beautiful scenery.

There is always a chance of to spot a moose, bear, caribou, or a bald eagle, so don’t forget your camera. At Northern Lights Lodge, we employ a catch, photo, and release rule, thus keeping this fabulous fishing experience alive for generations to come. Our lakes have just been designated as high quality management lakes.

Of course, we will keep enough of the smaller fish for our delicious fish fry’s and shore lunches. You will get plenty of fishing time in as we have over twenty hours of daylight in June and July.

Late August and September are some of the prettiest months and a great time to view our spectacular northern lights. It is also a great time for fishing, especially for Lake Trout.
